Marien López-Medina is a bilingual journalist from Managua, Nicaragua. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma, with minors in nonprofit organizational studies and international studies. She earned her international baccalaureate diploma at Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific (UWC) in 2019. She has worked as a news reporter and news managing editor at The OU Daily, as well as interning as an investigative reporter at The Frontier. Through her participation in the 2023 Bloomberg Diversity Journalism Program, López-Medina developed a strong interest in global economic data analysis and business journalism. She can communicate proficiently in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
